Two Methods of Creating Schedules for Flexible Flowlines with Sequence-dependent Setup Times in a Random Keys Genetic Algorithm

Two methods of creating schedules in a Random Keys Genetic Algorithm are investigated with regards to effectiveness. One uses job-to-machine assignments in the first stage as the chromosome, with a greedy heuristic to assign jobs to machines in later stages. The other method explicitly makes job-to-machine assignments in all stages.
